We are currently seeking a Wastewater Operator to join our new team in Union Springs, AL. We would ask you to operate a wastewater plant, including maintenance of equipment, monitoring treatment process, data collection and lab procedures. Daily activities will include routine work in the plant, basic process control decisions, minor preventive maintenance and housekeeping.

As a Wastewater Operator, You Will

• Operate wastewater plants, monitoring all equipment and chemicals to ensure effluent water meets applicable standards
• Collect and record data for record maintenance and reporting to designated state agencies
• Monitor treatment process for compliance, inspect equipment, monitor conditions, meters, and gauges to resolve load requirements and functionality
• Willingness to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and 24-hour emergency on-call shifts.
  
  

Education, Experience, And Skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent experience.
• Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred).
• Active Georgia Wastewater Operator’s License required.
• Ability to follow manual and operating instructions. Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and internet.
• Communicates clearly and professionally. Contributes to a positive internal and external customer experience. Willing to help others. Maintains composure in complicated situations.
• Pays attention to detail. Identifies and solves problems. Advances issues accordingly. Checks work for quality.
• Works well with supervision. Takes projects to completion. Follows all company policies and SOPs. Balances multiple tasks.
• Demonstrates a positive demeanor. Acts in accordance with company vision, mission, and values. Takes accountability for own performance. Willing to tackle additional assignments.
  
  

Physical Demands

• Must be able to frequently lift 50-60 pounds, load, unload, and move large equipment/tools.
• Ability to access confined spaces.
• Continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders.
