Our Project Accountants are responsible for organizing and processing all on-going daily accounting activities such as client billings, accounts payable, and job costing as related to assigned projects. They also play a crucial role in enhancing operational efficiency, streamlining workflows, and implementing automation solutions within our organization. This role requires a blend of accounting skills, analytical skills, and technology expertise to drive continuous improvement initiatives. This is an in-office position.

Accounting Duties
- Prepare and process customer billings (Cost-plus, Fixed fee, etc.) on a schedule of values in accordance with contract requirements and Company policy.
- Analyze project expenditures, matching invoice against PO and receiver and verifying quantity, price, taxes, shipping cost authorization.
- Work with vendors to obtain lien releases to expedite customer payments.
- Work with Operations to enhance the flow of information to the Accounting team.
- Maintain accurate project financial documentation and ensure compliance with audit requirements.
- Participate in developing solutions to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
- Assist in evaluating opportunities for automation using tools and technologies such as RPA (Robotic Process Automation), workflow automation platforms, etc.
- Document processes, procedures, and automation workflows.
- Participate in developing interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Excel, or similar BI software.
- Assist with creating training materials for new processes and technology.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field preferred or equivalent experience.
- 2 years experience in accounting or finance: experience in project accounting preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
- Strong knowledge of accounting software and bookkeeping principles
