Human Resources Coordinator - Position Overview: The Human Resources Coordinator plays a key role in supporting the daily operations of the HR department. This position is responsible for scheduling interviews, assisting with onboarding and new hire paperwork, maintaining the uniform room, and guiding new employees through the PILB licensing process. It requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide excellent internal customer service.
Essential Job Functions
· Responsible for assisting with recruiting efforts and on-boarding candidates.
· Schedules meetings and interviews for qualified candidates.
· Completes all new hire paperwork.
· Prepares new employee files.
· Assists department in carrying out various human resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
· Helps maintain company employee directory.
· Makes photocopies, faxes documents and performs other clerical functions.
· Completes all employee verification requests.
· Files papers and documents into appropriate employee files.
· Responsible for uniform distribution, inventory and management of the uniform room.
· Verifies I-9 documentation and maintains books current.
· Performs all other duties assigned.
Requirements
· Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources.
· Requires effective oral and written communication skills.
· Have excellent interpersonal skills and maintains confidentiality.
· Strong computer literacy.
· Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
· Follows Instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance.
Education/Other Skills
· 3 years experience in the Recruitment/HR field, OR
· Any similar combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements
· Sit, stand, walk, squat, bend, twist, reach above and below shoulder level as needed.
· Simple grasping as well as repetitive use of hands and fine hand manipulation.
· Frequently required to talk and hear.
· Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel and crouch.
· Lift up to 15 lbs.
