What are the responsibilities and job description for the In Game Producer position at ESL FACEIT Group?
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The In-Game Producer will be the creative lead or individual behind the in-game portion of broadcast for medium to large-scale projects and events. The In-Game Producer will serve as the subject matter expert for all internal and external teams regarding the games they work on. Be prepared to help build something great.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING- Execute live broadcast as an in-game producer and director
- Serve as technical director on small-to-medium scale programming using broadcast grade video switcher hardware and software
- Create video switcher builds for handoff to freelance technical directors using hardware and software video switchers
- Lead a team of observers during events/broadcasts
- Create documentation on how to observe a game (observer philosophies)
- Create mockups for in-game overlays for design teams
- Create workflows and efficiencies for internal teams
- Create documentation on video games, workflows, and video game bugs to assist other departments such as producers and competition operations
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to improve our products and ensure game/community accuracy and integrity
- Work alongside clients and developers to troubleshoot and create tools for their games
- Act as a subject matter expert in the games and Esports assigned
- Complete other observer team broadcast responsibilities as assigned
- 3 years of experience in-game directing in a live broadcast environment
- 2 years of observer experience
- 1 years of experience serving as technical director on small-to-medium scale productions
- Experience with Stream Decks, Discord, and Open Broadcast Software (OBS)
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative and Google Suites
- Moderate knowledge of broadcast equipment and its limitations
- An understanding of competitive games at a high level
- A track record of excelling with little supervision and previous experience being singularly accountable for multiple tasks and projects
- The desire for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
- A collaborative mindset and approach to all tasks
- Experience as a former Esports competitor, coach, or commentator
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Game Design, Film / Broadcast, or related field
- Experience working in Esports LAN or live broadcast environments
- A passion for video games, Esports, observation, and innovation
