POSITION DESCRIPTION
Responsible for managing the production and repairs for products produced within the assigned Production Department.
REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishes and implements realistic production and repair rates while continuing to raise the bar on the production teams.
- Proposes, justifies, and implements process improvements/cost reductions. Performs written follow-up to confirm benefits or improvements have been realized.
- Closely monitors part requirements, inventory, and safety stock levels to ensure on-time delivery per commitments.
- Works with Materials Management to ensure parts are ordered and received in a timely manner.
- Proactively works with the Quality Control Department on production-related problems and proposed/required changes.
- Fervently addresses CAPAs and non-conformances to ensure on-time completion per applicable SOPs.
- Identifies product/process changes and processes them through the ECO/ECN change process. Takes ownership responsibility through sign-off and training of required personnel.
- Actively participates and contributes to complaint investigations with the Complaints Specialist.
- Establishes and writes DMRs for new production items.
- Develops, edits, and maintains departmental SOPs.
- Identifies, develops, implements, and communicates department KPIs/Shop Floor Management (SFM), empowering team members to favorably effect outcomes.
- Develops succession plans for current staff and new hires through training and cross-training integration.
- Conducts and arranges training programs and documentation for employees.
- Promotes, implements, and tracks cross-training across production, repairs, and testing within the affiliated department.
- Supports all product transfer initiatives to ensure a seamless transfer into department manufacturing.
- Develops annual department expense and capital budgets. Performs monthly reviews to ensure budgets remain within the approved plan.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaboratively networks with counterparts, cross-departments, GmbH counterparts, and third-party vendors to ensure cross-fertilization of concepts, ideas, process improvements, and quality initiatives.
- Ensures the team maintains a safe working environment.
- Establishes and maintains maintenance and calibration logs for machines.
- Complies with the RWMIC Quality Manual, regulations, and requirements as they apply to this job type/position.
- Completes all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
- Other duties as assigned by the Corporate Director of Manufacturing.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Vocational/Technical Education required; BS/BA Degree in Engineering preferred.
- 5-7 years of production/manufacturing/operations-related experience as a Supervisor or Manager.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams at all levels.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Familiarity with the US-Standard and Metric Measurement System.
- Proficient in the creation of work instructions.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints/schematics.
- Intermediate PC skills and proficiency in MS Office Suite products.
- Working knowledge of the SAP ERP System preferred.
- Experience with and understanding of cross-cultural differences and the ability to work within this environment.
- Hands-on experience required.
- Strong leadership and communication skills required.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
