ESP Associates, Inc. has an immediate opportunity for a GIS Project Manager to join our team in Raleigh, NC (Morrisville). ESP is a leader in water resources engineering, stormwater management and floodplain mapping with tremendous expertise and resources. Our team has a complete understanding of the mapping project approach: we use state-of-the-art GIS based modeling and mapping tools and we have a proven track record of success with hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and natural hazard risk assessments for FEMA, states, municipalities, and private clients.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to and support a team of GIS technicians and analysts by providing senior-level technical oversight, and QA/QC support.
- GIS analyses, including spatial data collection, creation, editing, and processing in support of emergency management efforts.
- Oversight of GIS projects/tasks.
- Geodatabase design, editing, and maintenance.
- 3D and Spatial Analyst use supporting terrain data processing, water resources modeling, and floodplain mapping product development.
- Asset inventory management.
- Map production.
- May assist with business development support, including interactions with existing and potential clients, presenting at professional conferences, and aiding in proposal development.
- Hazard Mitigation and Resilience Planning Support.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree in Geography, Environmental Science, or related field.
- 8 years of related GIS experience
- The ideal candidate is diligent, detail-oriented, organized, and has strong critical thinking skills.
- Working experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access) and ArcGIS Pro.
- Experience or working knowledge of Python, Visual Basic, SDE, SQL Server and Arc GIS Online (AGOL).
- Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.
Preferred:
- GISP certification
- Certified Floodplain Manager certification
- Experience in any of the following: water resources modeling, terrain data development, base map development, FEMA floodplain mapping, Geodatabase development, field data collection, 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst, and ModelBuilder.
- Experience with the following: SDE database management, SQL server administration, ArcGIS Enterprise Management, ArcGIS License Administration.
