What are the responsibilities and job description for the MACHINE LEARNING - (INTERNSHIP FOR 2025) position at Esperanto.ai?

We are seeking full-time Machine Learning Interns for Summer 2025. Interns will be expected to work in a team.
The role will be to assist with the following (but not limited to).
Getting familiar with “transformers,” “attention mechanism” and MoE structures
- Understanding of Models written in Python
- Running NLP transformer models on servers and/or on web services like AWS
- Modifying and training small MoE models to better understand the fundamental blocks of the models
And the switching between ‘experts’ as a first step towards scaling up towards larger models
- Comparing outputs from a model running on a CPU (or GPU) with the outputs of the same model running on Esperanto hardware.
Qualifications:
Intermediate to strong programming skills ( Python or C ) is required.
- Exposure to Machine Learning and data sciences concepts (either self-taught or through coursework/previous training or projects) is highly preferable.
- Familiarity with big data is a plus.
