Our global foundry solutions client is seeking an Applications Engineer for a full-time hybrid opportunity based in the Atlanta GA area.
The Applications Engineer supports the sales and engineering teams by developing technical proposals, analyzing RFQs, and preparing costing documents and technical layouts for both OEM and equipment modernization projects. This role plays a key part in delivering comprehensive technical solutions to customers through effective collaboration and engineering acumen.

The Applications Engineer supports the sales and engineering teams by developing technical proposals, analyzing RFQs, and preparing costing documents and technical layouts for both OEM and equipment modernization projects. This role plays a key part in delivering comprehensive technical solutions to customers through effective collaboration and engineering acumen.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- • Review RFQs and customer specifications for clarification and definition; communicate with account managers and customers as needed
- • Analyze mechanical drawings and technical documentation to define scope of supply
- • Develop technical proposals including detailed costing and gross margin data
- • Design and draft technical concepts in CAD (approximately 20% of proposals require CAD support)
- • Gather and calculate pricing data according to company procedures and systems
- • Maintain accurate and traceable proposal and costing documentation
- • Assist offsite account managers with technical information and customer-specific proposals
- • Ensure timely completion of proposals and adherence to deadlines
- • Support continuous improvement initiatives within the organization
- • Perform special projects and additional duties as assigned
- • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience (3-10 years) may substitute
- • 2-5 years of experience in Sales, Engineering, or Proposal Development
- • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word), database tools, and CAD; macro language skills a plus
- • Strong ability to read mechanical drawings and perform basic algebraic calculations
- • Excellent communication and analytical skills; ability to work in a fast-paced team environment

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
