Material Handling & Electrical Systems Coordinator
Location: Montgomery, IL
Reports To: Director of Operations β Conveyor Components
Job Type: Temp-to-Perm
Rate: $26.44/hr - $28.84/hr
Schedule: 8 AM to 5 PM

Our client is hiring a Production Support Coordinator to oversee all aspects of component receiving, packaging, shipping, and production support. This role involves assembling mechanical and electrical systems, including wiring control panels and plumbing products, and working with pumps. The Production Support Coordinator will work with dust suppression systems, pump assemblies, and other mechanical components such as trackers and idlers.
This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret blueprints and product sketches, and proficiency in working within a warehouse and production environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving & Inventory Management:
- Receive, inventory, and store all components associated with fabrication and distribution.
- Enter receiving data into the computerized inventory system and assign bin locations.
- Organize received components by project for fabrication.
- Shipping & Packaging:
- Prepare packaging for components and finished goods to be shipped from the facility.
- Maintain and update shipping data in electronic data folders and ERP systems.
- Manage domestic and international shipments.
- Load/unload components and finished goods for shipping.
- Production & Assembly:
- Assemble parts and systems, including control panel wiring, plumbing suppression systems, and pump assemblies.
- Read and interpret blueprints and product sketches to ensure accurate assembly.
- Cut cleaner blades for production use.
- Warehouse & Equipment Operation:
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory and shop area.
- Operate a forklift to move components and load/unload trucks.
- Operate an overhead crane to handle large components safely.
- Additional Responsibilities:
- Pull, pack, and assemble orders on pallets; securely band items for shipment.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education/Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- 3-5 years of experience in shipping/receiving, including domestic and international shipments.
- 3-5 years of experience in distribution warehousing and inventory control.
- Familiarity with component distribution pick/pack/ship procedures.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Experience operating a forklift and overhead crane.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and product sketches.
- Experience with electrical wiring, plumbing products, and pump assembly is preferred.
Physical/Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to move throughout the warehouse regularly.
- Prolonged standing and walking; ability to climb ladders and stairs.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating a personal computer for data entry tasks.
