Job Title: Survey Intern
Location: Aurora, IL
Job Type and Duration: Full Time, Direct Hire
Pay range: $100k - $120K

Our client is seeking a full time Survey Intern (SI) for our Aurora, Illinois Office.

The ideal candidate must be well-versed with AutoCAD(Civil 3D), proficient with computers, and have at least 6 years of practical private sector land survey office experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work with and process survey data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company and professional standards.

• Read, interpret and understand civil, structural and architectural plans.

• Create or review accurate construction staking calculations from existing files for field crews using AutoCAD software.

• Prepare or review record drawings (As-Builts) from engineering files and field data using AutoCAD software.

• Be able to comprehend surveys, deed, legal descriptions and recorded documents.

• Provide preliminary boundary calcs and title review for professional land surveyor approval.

• Prepare base drawings for ALTA/Boundary surveys, topography and other land survey documents.

REQUIREMENTS

• Possess a strong background in AutoCAD (civil 3D preferred)

• Have excellent interpersonal, listening, oral and written skills.

• Have the ability and desire to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with coworkers.

• Be able to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines.

• This is not a remote position.
