Overview

In this position, you will work closely with clients to establish solutions to make them successful, broaden the effect of GIS technology to their business, and help shape the evolution of the platform by identifying new implementation patterns. You will provide solutions and thought leadership while promoting the use of Esri technology to enable customer success and support its development and growth into new domains by working closely with industry experts throughout the company

This team supports our Utilities clients. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate Consultants and Project Managers to deliver solutions that enable our customers to make a difference in communities around the world. You will be part of a delivery team that implements critical technologies that improve quality, reliability and accessibility to data and geospatial capabilities.

The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful.

Esri has a Relocation Assistance Program and can provide support with relocating to the Denver, CO area for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Help clients translate real-world needs into practical, state-of-the-art, GIS technology-driven solutions through the implementation of Esri's enterprise GIS technology
  • Work with clients to prepare multi-year GIS implementation and migration strategies
  • Collect, organize, and present client requirements, objectives, and business workflows to translate into meaningful and actionable strategies and plans
  • Analyze and interpret business and technical problems and distill them into manageable and practical solutions or tasks
  • Advise customers on relevant GIS strategies, architectures, product selection, and release planning
  • Create and manage the scope, cost, schedule, and contractual deliverables through planning, tracking, quality assurance, change control, and risk management
  • Manage small to large scale projects and lead project teams during requirements, analysis, design, build, and rollout
  • Track project performance and report on status
  • Work with Esri's marketing and sales teams to grow and support our practice through business development, expansion into new application areas, and delivery of products and services to new and existing customers
  • Manage client relationships and expectations

Requirements

  • Visa sponsorship is not available for this posting. Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US.
  • 5 years of significant, proven experience applying Esri's ArcGIS technology within the water utilities industry, including water/wastewater/stormwater
  • Experience with Esri products to solve complex business problems including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise and web applications
  • Proven experience with proposal writing experience including preparing executive summaries, solution definition, scope of work, staffing, and pricing
  • Ability to develop enterprise level project designs, work plans, budgets, and schedules
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work on multiple activities/projects in parallel
  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, GIS, geography, or relevant field

Recommended Qualifications

  • Experience in the integration of ArcGIS with work management, asset management, SCADA, customer information, and document management systems
  • Familiarity with RDBMS and geodatabase design
  • Familiarity with mobile applications for data collection
  • Master's degree in information systems, GIS, geography, or relevant field
