Responsibilities
- Perform non-invasive vascular diagnostic tests, including Doppler ultrasound and other imaging techniques.
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret test results and assist in developing patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of procedures performed.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and aseptic techniques during all procedures.
- Educate patients on the procedures being performed, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Stay current with advancements in vascular technology and best practices within the field.
- Assist in maintaining laboratory equipment and ensuring it is functioning correctly.
Experience
- A certification in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and telemetry as it pertains to vascular studies.
- Familiarity with working in a Level I Trauma Center or emergency medicine setting is an advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in aseptic technique and maintaining a sterile environment during procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
