Essense of Australia is a leading international bridal design house designing award-winning gowns for bridal retailers throughout the world. Our global communications team is looking for a talented, creative intern who loves writing and has a passion for storytelling. In addition to being a strong communicator, you should have excellent attention-to-detail, multitasking and organizational skills. This is a full-time paid onsite internship with the reporting location based out of Lenexa, KS.
Responsibilities
- Assist in writing, proofreading and editing copy for internal and external use
- Ensure brand consistency in copy by following brand and AP Style guidelines
- Participate in marketing brainstorms
- Conduct and analyze market, trend and competitor research
- Support the communications team in daily tasks and perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Current student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, creative writing, marketing or similar field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid writing, grammar, spelling and punctuation skills
- Strong organizational skills with an ability to meet deadlines
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- Passion for words, storytelling and marketing campaigns/content
- Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient with use of Microsoft Office and AP Style
- Positive, collaborative attitude, with the ability to work well with team members, managers and business partners
