Role Overview:
This position provides a high level of service to patients and facilitates their registration process with professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency.
Key Duties:
- Collect demographic details, financial information, and minimum health data from patients.
- Obtain copies of insurance cards, identification, and update patient records as necessary.
- Conduct point-of-service data collection, including co-payments and down payments, and reconcile cash drawers for accurate accounting.
- Maintain assigned work queues according to supervisor's instructions.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with patients, coworkers, and others.
- Take incoming calls, schedule appointments, and refer to clinical teams when needed.
- Clean and sanitize registration equipment between uses and restock basic supplies.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Patient Access Representative or Scheduler is preferred.
