Job Description
Vice President / Credit Officer sought for a growing mutual savings bank. Under supervision of the Senior Vice President – Chief Lending Officer to perform commercial loan origination support for commercial lenders, credit analysis, commercial file memorandums as needed and overall portfolio management. Develop / train Credit Analyst(s) in their charge. Work with SVP/CLO, Loan Administration Manager, and Loan Review Vendor to coordinate independent loan review process. Request financial information from Borrowers, and other loan information as appropriate for analysis. Manage production and review of CRE report. Participate in Essex Savings Bank ALCO. Produce loan reports as needed. Look for opportunities to improve analytical and reporting efficiencies.
Responsibilities include:
· Evaluates the financial condition of individuals and businesses and provides the following support to commercial loan officers and to help manage the commercial loan portfolio. This includes, but is not limited to:
o Analyzing and summarizing new loan requests and line renewals; preparing credit related reports and loan presentations as needed for presentation to loan officers or committees.
o Ordering credit reports for the underwriting of commercial loans.
o Manage collection of borrower financial information.
o Develop / train Credit Analyst(s).
o Perform periodic reviews of financial statements and prepare file memorandums.
o Interface with attorneys, accountants, and customers.
o Monitor future maturities and prepare loan committee presentations for line renewals.
o Participate in Senior Officers’ Loan Committee meetings.
o Performs comprehensive portfolio risk management utilizing various tools and reports and monitors risk ratings.
Qualifications:

· Candidate must have a minimum of five years of related experience and/or training.
· Sound knowledge of Word, Excel, loan software, and data center software required to perform this job successfully.
· Knowledge of tax return and financial statement analysis with appropriate credit skills.
Education:
· Minimum of a BS/BA in Finance or related field
