What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Trades - Residential Lab Supervisor position at Essex Westford School District?
Essex Westford School District (EWSD) has an opportunity for a passionate educator to join the team at the Center for Technology, Essex beginning in the 24/25 school year. This position assists the program instructor in educating students, managing behavior, record-keeping, providing instructional support, leading construction activities, ensuring safety, and taking responsibility for various aspects of construction projects.
EWSD is committed to considering out-of-state candidates who are eligible to hold a Vermont educator license but do not yet hold a license in this state.

Candidates with the following qualifications are encouraged to apply:
- Associate’s Degree, or the equivalent of two years of study (48 credits), plus a minimum of 5 years in the construction industry performing related work.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Dedication to providing a safe and respectful learning environment for all students with an ability to understand and teach various learning styles.
- Successful experience with professional collaboration as exemplified by Professional Learning Communities.
- Expertise in utilizing and integrating current technology to support instruction.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the student population being served and how demographic variables impact student achievement. Ability to use this knowledge to effectively design and deliver instruction.
- Commitment to continuous improvement in the areas of knowledge and professional practice.
