What are the responsibilities and job description for the Building Trades Electrical Instructor position at Northwest Career & Technical Center?
The Northwest Career and Technical Center (NCTC) in St. Albans is seeking a Building Trades Electrical Instructor for high school students. Electrical experience preferred. The electrical program covers the following topics: electrical safety, residential wiring, wiring methods and materials, electrical construction documents, conductors and cables, electrical theory, the National Electrical Code, conduit bending, controls, and test equipment. At the end of the year, students have an opportunity to take the Vermont State Apprenticeship Level I exam and complete their first year of the state electrical apprenticeship program.
If you are currently active in a related field and would like to consider teaching, please apply. Certification in Electrical in the State of Vermont is preferred but not required. A teaching certification program is available via Vermont State University for new hires coming directly from the industry with tuition paid for by NCTC.
Requirements: At least four years of industry experience.
