We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented paralegal with detailed RECENT experience in Criminal Defense (DUI) -Required and Family law (a plus) to join our team and provide critical support to our attorney in managing complex cases.
Job Responsibilities - Criminal Defense (DUI) Paralegal Responsibilities
- Assist attorney in DUI case preparation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and legal correspondence.
- Review and analyze police reports, dashcam footage, and breathalyzer results for inconsistencies.
- Conduct legal research on DUI laws, sentencing guidelines, and defense strategies.
- Manage client communications, including gathering case-related information and preparing case summaries.
- Assist in trial preparation, including organizing evidence, exhibits, and witness lists.
- File motions and responses with the court and coordinate hearings with court clerks.
- Draft and file petitions, motions, affidavits, financial disclosures, child custody agreements, and divorce settlements.
- Assist attorneys with case strategy, discovery requests, and document review.
- Organize and maintain client files and case documents.
- Facilitate communication between attorneys, clients, opposing counsel, and the court.
- Schedule court appearances, depositions, and mediation hearings.
- Prepare and submit evidence exhibits for hearings and trials.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years of recent experience as a paralegal in criminal defense (DUI)
- ,Minimum of 1 year detailed experience in family law.
- Strong understanding of court procedures, legal terminology, and filing requirements.
- Proficiency in case management software and e-filing systems.
- Excellent legal research and writing skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive client information with professionalism and discretion.
- Effective communication skills with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Be willing to do administrative tasks as required including learning Immigration Law
- Paralegal certification from an ABA-accredited program.
- A candidate with all three experiences (Criminal (DUI) defense, family and personal injury combined)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Experience with Clio, MyCase, or other legal case management software.
- Notary public certification is a plus.
