Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join our Estate Planning & Elder Law team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in drafting estate planning documents and handling trust and estate administration. This role offers a unique opportunity for attorneys who are passionate about helping seniors and families navigate the complexities of estate planning and elder law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting comprehensive estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives
- Handling trust and estate administration, including probate, trust funding, and distribution
- Conducting client meetings, presenting estate planning strategies, and providing ongoing support
- Collaborating with our legal team to ensure client matters are handled efficiently and accurately
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active Bar membership in Michigan
- 3 years of experience in estate planning and trust/estate administration
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail in estate planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple client matters efficiently and effectively
- Knowledge of Medicaid planning and elder law is a plus
