What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bookkeeper position at Estelle Bakery?

As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and assisting with some HR-related tasks. The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, payroll, and financial record-keeping
- Proficiency in Quick Books and spreadsheets
- 3 years experience in financial report writing and interpretation
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding company financial and employee files
- Essential Functions:
- Maintain and balance financial records, including accounts payable/receivable
- Process invoices, payments, and reconcile bank/credit card statements
- Prepare and analyze financial reports
- Manage sales tax reporting, including local and district tax compliance
- Assist with payroll processing and ensure compliance with labor laws
- Support HR functions such as on-boarding, maintaining employee records, and administering benefits
- Handle workers' compensation reporting, including monthly reporting and injury documentation
