Bachelors Degree, but no Teaching Cert, Required - we will get you certified to teach through our accrediting body!
Esther’s School is a private, non-denominational Christian, accredited K-12 school with 9 campus locations throughout central Florida. Esther’s School specializes in offering an inclusive, customized learning environment for its students. Because of the individualized consideration given to the needs of each student, Esther’s School excels in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for both mainstream students as well as students with special needs.
Esther’s School is seeking a Teacher for the upcoming school year. This is a non-traditional teaching position. Students use the Ignitia or Accelerated Christian Education curriculum, both customized to each student's level and self-paced in a small classroom setting.
Duties for this position include:
- Demonstrate a positive, patient attitude in working with children
- Administer diagnostic tests
- Administer and score PACE tests
- Maintain attendance records
- Maintain Supervisor cards for each student
- Prepare materials to supplement curriculum
- Provide motivation, discipline and instruction through one on one student assistance and group class instruction
- Assist in behavior management
- Participate in in-service programs, training and professional meetings as requested
- Work collaboratively with Principal, Peers, Parents, and other staff to improve services for students
- Provide a safe classroom environment
- Assist with cleaning of classroom
- Other duties as assigned
Educational staff does not work over the summer, salary posted is for 10 months of work.
Bachelors degree required but no teaching certificate necessary. Candidates must be willing to complete the steps required for certification to teach through our accrediting body. Ignitia, A.C.E. or ESE experience a plus.
Candidates must agree with Esther's School's Statement of Faith and exemplify a positive, Christian role model to students, parents and co-workers, both on and off campus.
