Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Sensor Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting surveying projects by collecting LiDAR, orthophoto, and magnetic data in the field for drone surveys. This position requires proficiency in various software applications and a strong understanding of surveying principles. The Sensor Operator will work closely with pilots, engineers, and geologists to ensure accurate and efficient project execution.


Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Operate a LiDAR sensor, magnetic sensor, and cameras during drone surveys

Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight checks for all sensors

Communicate with the pilot during surveys and the remote support team daily

Perform QA/QC for all data collected in the field

Manage and organize data in the field


All applicants must have:

US citizenship or legally able to work in the US

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience with field data collection in remote or challenging environments

Willingness and ability to travel frequently for field work

Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and work independently

Strong dynamic problem-solving skills

Strong data management skills

Excellent attention to detail

Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members

Strong computer skills

Familiarity with surveying principles and techniques (preferred)

Proficient with flight planning and data acquisition software (preferred)

A valid driver's license to drive in the US (preferred)
