Key Responsibilities of Human Resources Director:
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Oversee personnel records, HR systems, and employment data.
- Conduct HR training sessions for firm and administer employee benefits programs.
- Enforce Firm Handbook, policies, and procedures.
- Address employee relations matters.
- Conduct initial investigations of employee issues, document findings.
- Manage all non-attorney staffing, recruitment, and onboarding, including job descriptions, interviews, hiring strategies, offer extensions, pre-employment checks, and new hire integration.
Qualifications of Human Resources Director:
- Bachelor’s degree required; SHRM certification preferred.
- 9 years of HR experience in a law firm (mandatory), with at least 7 years in managerial roles.
- Strong knowledge of law firm organizational structures and HR best practices.
- Experience with HR applicant tracking software.
