As a Labor & Employment Attorney, your practice will be focused on representing California employers in diverse employment matters from class actions and wage-and-hour disputes to employee classification, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and more. The ideal candidate will bring 4-8 years of experience in employment litigation, with a strong desire for trial or arbitration work, and a proven ability to manage complex employment law cases.
Key responsibilities of the Labor & Employment Attorney include :
- Representing private and public employers in complex employment litigation, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, FLSA, PAGA, and others.
- Arguing motions, pleadings, and legal memoranda.
- Depositions, managing discovery activities, and preparing for trials or arbitrations.
- Advising employers on compliance with state and federal employment laws, including COVID-19 regulations, ADA / FEHA compliance, FMLA / CFRA leave laws, and employee privacy.
- Drafting EEOC position statements, DFEH responses, and conducting witness interviews.
Experience in labor relations, including labor negotiations, grievances, arbitrations, and administrative hearings, is an additional advantage.
