The Senior QA Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software. This senior position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and execution of both automated and manual tests for our financial services applications. A key objective is to design and implement an automated testing framework that achieves at least 80% test coverage across all web browsers and mobile devices, ultimately minimizing manual testing efforts. This position reports directly to the VP of Application Architecture and Development.

The Senior QA Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software. This senior position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and execution of both automated and manual tests for our financial services applications. A key objective is to design and implement an automated testing framework that achieves at least 80% test coverage across all web browsers and mobile devices, ultimately minimizing manual testing efforts. This position reports directly to the VP of Application Architecture and Development.
You Will
- Lead and mentor a small team of automated testers, guiding them in building comprehensive test cases for automation
- Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test scenarios and automated tests to rigorously verify that applications meet all functional and non-functional requirements
- Adhere to established software configuration and delivery pipeline procedures for test development
- Conduct thorough acceptance and user experience testing to ensure software readiness for release
- Collaborate closely with product managers and developers, reviewing features, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and providing accurate effort estimations
- Proactively troubleshoot application and data-related issues encountered during development and testing phases
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills to effectively address the complex challenges inherent in testing our applications
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal skills to foster effective collaboration with teammates
- Maintain a meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality and the needs of our end-users
- Exhibit exceptional time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to independently accomplish assigned tasks
- Demonstrate a strong capacity for self-directed learning, a proactive approach to staying current with industry best practices and emerging technologies in the field of test automation
- Effectively contribute as a valued member of a cross-functional agile delivery team
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience with 15 years of hands-on experience in automated QA testing
- 15 years of proven experience in developing and documenting comprehensive QA test scenarios
- 10 years of experience working with commercial or open-source test automation frameworks (e.g., BrowserStack, Spock, Selenium)
- 5 years of experience with API testing using tools like Postman
- Proficiency in object-oriented scripting/programming languages (e.g., Groovy, Java, Python)
- Exposure to CI/CD systems such as Jenkins and containerization technologies like Kubernetes or Docker (preferred, not required)
- Knowledge of testing RESTful web services and related authentication standards such as OAuth (preferred, not required)
- Experience testing mobile applications using frameworks like Appium (preferred, not required)
- Familiarity with common programming patterns
- Proficiency with macOS and Windows operating systems
- (Preferred) Experience within the logistics industry
- Salary: $140,000-$160,000
