Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing project specifications, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on schedule. This role requires a strong understanding of construction management processes and the ability to coordinate effectively with various stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Duties
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Utilize construction management software to track project progress and manage documentation.
- Collaborate with project managers and coordinators to ensure all aspects of the project are aligned.
- Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary data for estimating purposes.
- Prepare detailed schematics and reports using tools such as Civil 3D and Prolog.
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to provide comprehensive estimates.
- Participate in bid meetings and present estimates to clients or stakeholders as needed.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and best practices in construction estimating.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction estimating or a related field is essential.
- Familiarity with construction management software and tools such as Primavera is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of construction site operations and project coordination practices.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail in preparing estimates.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- A background in civil engineering or construction management is a plus.
