What are the responsibilities and job description for the Host position at etc?
etc. Chicago is a new restaurant located in the Loop neighborhood of Chicago, Led by James Beard Nominated chef Lamar Moore. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a host. Must be well versed in open table operating systems. 2 years experience is preferred, but not required.
Duties:
- Be the first point of contact for business and greet guests as they arrive and show them to their tables.
- Assist with the flow of service.
- Prepare notes for management for pre shift meetings.
- Update and print menus as is needed.
- Our Host is responsible for organizing guest reservations, special events, and arranging table assignments for the entire floor plan, while giving clear directions to other employees throughout each shift.
