Job Overview: As a Valve Body Supervisor you carry considerable responsibility. You are the conductor from start to finish and play a vital role of the team by producing the best, highest quality, and most reliable transmissions in the industry. Your day will be spent leading, monitoring, and managing processes, procedures, employees, jobs, production goals, quality standards, and inventory. Suggesting and implementing improvements, coaching, and ensuring work will be completed in the most efficient manner. You will support other areas and departments as needed, be helpful and organized to ensure daily demands are met and processes run smoothly in your area.
Responsibilities:
· Assist Production Manager and other Supervisors as needed, advise of all inventory & production problems
· Sustain the ability to manage, coach, and communicate with all employees in a professional manner
· Take on and assign responsibilities, develop plans for improvement and execute them, lead by example
· Motivate employees, use critical thinking and common sense when managing & addressing issues
· Monitor employee time punches, schedule vacations, write/perform reviews, hold employees accountable
· Maintain one-piece workflow, make sure job and serial numbers do not get mixed up
· Verify & perform quality checks, ensure process & procedures are followed
· Make sure employees are productive, at workstations on time, begin and end work when scheduled
· Ensure production goals and quality standards are met daily
· Train new personnel and work overtime when needed
· Follow directions from Managers & Human Resources, be proactive and lead department to success
· Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment, be at your workstation on time daily

Essential Functions:
- Computer literate, strong communication and good math skills, able to work with Microsoft Office
- Must be 18 years old, high school diploma preferred, detail oriented, automotive/mechanical ability a plus
- Willingness and understanding you will get dirty at times, and may have to work with chemicals
- Skill and ability of working with your hands, manual tools (must provide your own) and other instruments
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand & work on your feet for 8 hours a day and under pressure at times
- Have a Can-Do Attitude, with good time management, communication and decision-making skills
- Self-starting and motivated; believe in teamwork and uphold the ability to always help others
- Adhere to all safety rules, give it your all every day, must have regular, reliable, and predictable attendance
