Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Psychologist to join a behavioral health team on a full-time, contract basis. This role involves working in a secure environment providing psychological evaluations, individual treatment planning, and mental health interventions.
Responsibilities:
Conduct psychological assessments and screenings through interviews and record reviews
Develop and modify individualized treatment plans based on clinical needs
Provide mental health counseling and crisis intervention services
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers
Make regular rounds in segregation or restricted housing areas to monitor patient well-being
Document evaluations, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately
Consult with other staff to ensure coordinated care and address behavioral concerns
Qualifications:
Doctoral degree in Psychology from an accredited institution
Current and unrestricted license to practice psychology in the state of Tennessee
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience, including at least 1 year in a similar role
Must be at least 18 years old
Valid driver's license required
Skills:
Strong knowledge of psychological counseling theories and therapeutic techniques
Experience working with diverse populations in structured settings
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to remain calm and effective in crisis situations
Language Requirements:
English: Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing
