JOB DESCRIPTION:
Creating, set up, maintaining of inventory items (Bulk, Finished Goods and components), purchased, outsourced or used in production. This includes deletions of inventory items, recons, journal entries and daily reports.
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under general supervision of the Sr. Manager Cost Management, responsible for maintaining SAP S/4 cost system.
Responsibilities include inventory master data set up, inventory, cost and budget analysis and ensuring SAP S/4’s system of
internal controls related to general and cost accounting are adequate for compliance with Subsidiary, Corporate, SEC, Sarbanes-Oxley and GAAP requirements.
This position is categorized as compliance critical and, as such, requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements. It is the associate’s responsibility to observe and obey all safety rules. Any condition thought to be
hazardous or unsafe should be reported to your supervisor immediately.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inventory item master data creation change and deletion. (Bulk, Finish
Goods, Components and other items as needed)
2. Inventory item routing creating, change and deletion.
3. Inventory item stockroom creating, change and deletion.
4. Inventory item group major and minor creating, change and deletion.
5. Coordinates item stock room transfers as required, which includes Bulk
items, coordination of expired Finish Goods items (monthly) and sample
rejects.
6. Monitor and request changes to last available dates of item lot number expiration date.
7. Monitor, maintains and adjusts out of balance items in inventory (Aurora versus Warehouse and SAP S/4 versus WMOS).
8. Request item physical inventory cycle counts to verify quantities on hand.
9. Update daily and monthly Inventory items forecast quantities.
10.Monitors, tracks and arranges bulk items returns to suppliers with necessary documentation. (Stockroom M2)
11. Assist with the year-end DEA physical inventory count.
12. Cross training on Sr. Manager, Cost Management and Cost
accountant duties.
13.Performs related duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is required. Minimum of one to three years of accounting experience is required. Must have experience with automated accounting systems, preferably with fully integrated ERP packages.
MINIMUM SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Requires strong financial analysis skills and ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. SAP S/4 experience helpful. Requires excellent written and interpersonal skills.
Must have strong Excel skill set.
