Job Title: Accountant

Contract Duration: November 2024 - May 2025
Pay Rate: $25-$30/hour (W2, depending on experience)
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Accounting Analyst to join our client's Digital Accounting and Financial Operations team on a contract basis. This role is an excellent opportunity to work with a leading global retail brand, while gaining hands-on experience with large-scale financial projects. The role is hybrid, combining remote work with on-site presence at our client's Reynoldsburg, Ohio location.
Key Responsibilities:
- IBM Cognos Reporting: Update and enhance various reports using the IBM Cognos reporting tool to support a large-scale project.
- Testing & Validation: Execute and validate unit testing of report tables, ensuring accurate data population and report functionality.
- User Collaboration: Work closely with end-users to confirm enhancements are operating as expected, migrating changes to production following user validation.
- Ticket Management: Address tickets related to modified reports, logging issues if data discrepancies are identified, and collaborating with the Digital Financial Systems team for resolution.
- Data Integrity: Ensure orders are accurately reflected in the data model and resolve any discrepancies in coordination with the project team.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in accounting, financial data analytics, or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with IBM Cognos or similar reporting tools is a plus.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
