Overview

The Scrum Master with Product Manager role is a critical position within our organization based in Ohio, designed for an individual who excels in guiding agile teams towards project success while simultaneously managing the product lifecycle. This dual-function role allows for the combination of agile project management skills with a deep understanding of product strategy and development. As a Scrum Master, you will facilitate the Scrum process to enhance collaboration and efficiency, ensuring teams are following agile principles effectively. Simultaneously, as a Product Manager, you will oversee the product vision, roadmap, and priorities, focusing on delivering maximum value to our customers. Your expertise will not only contribute to team dynamics but also shape the direction of our products to align with market needs and organizational goals, ultimately playing a key role in the company’s growth and success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Coach teams on agile methodologies and promote a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners to manage and prioritize the product backlog effectively.
  • Act as a servant leader, helping teams to self-organize and achieve high performance.
  • Resolve team conflicts and remove impediments hindering team progress.
  • Implement agile metrics to measure team performance and product delivery success.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment on the product vision and roadmap.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication and feedback loops.
  • Guide product development from ideation through launch, ensuring a user-centric approach.
  • Develop, maintain, and manage the product backlog in collaboration with the development team.
  • Analyze market trends and user feedback to inform product strategy.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for product requirements and specifications.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
  • Organize and facilitate stakeholder meetings and product demos.
  • Champion a culture of innovation and optimal user experience throughout the product lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Scrum Master in an agile environment.
  • Experience in product management or a related role, particularly in a tech setting.
  • Strong understanding of agile principles and practices.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and lead teams under pressure.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello).
  • Certifications such as Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) preferred.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable strategy.
  • Experience with user experience (UX) design processes is a plus.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) is essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse teams.
  • Adaptability and responsiveness to changing project requirements.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and skill enhancement.
