Basic Function
The Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) Coordinator will work to implement systemic SEL practices and prevention programs to support student well being and reduce risky behaviors in all Youth Program Sites and support the SEL Instructors at each site. Responsible for the integration of SEL and prevention programming including standards, curriculum, resources, professional development, and continuous improvement. Work directly with SEL Instructors and Site Coordinators to ensure SEL programming is integrated into instruction, through a common language that aligns with the Program's educational goals and vision. Facilitate the access of additional SEL resources to sites, per the availability.
Responsibilities
1. Establish and assist with the implementation of SEL and prevention curriculum specific to the Program and specific sites.
2. Provide SEL instructional coaching, and professional learning opportunities to SEL Instructors and other staff at all sites.
3. Support implementation of SEL and prevention programming and practices by teaming with Site Coordinator, SEL Instructor and other Site staff.
4. Design and deliver high-quality, engaging SEL professional learning opportunities that are designed to apply SEL principles, instruction and standards through hands on learning experiences.
5. Monitor and evaluate SEL and prevention programming and provide timely reports and updates as needed.
6. Oversee and manage SEL staff and programming at each Site.
7. Track the progress of SEL program lessons and provide quantitative and qualitative reports / updates to the management team.
8. Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly working environment.
9. Maintains administrative records as required by the Program.
10. Performs other tasks pertinent to achieving goals and objectives as deemed necessary by the Program Manager and Site Coordinator.
11. Support the philosophy and rules of the program ETSS.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, education, youth development, or related field.
Qualifications / Experience
- Certification through the Ohio Chemical Dependency Professionals Board (OCPSA, OCPS, OCPC) or the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) preferred, and / or must be willing to go through certification once employed.
- Deep knowledge of SEL competencies, child development, mental health first aid, and learning frameworks; applied knowledge of SEL research, evaluation, strategies, theories, techniques, and methods of instruction.
- Experience planning and conducting meetings and professional development; and facilitation and training methodologies to large groups.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; OneDrive, Calendar, and Contacts.
- Ability to travel between multiple program sites
- Previous experience working with youth from the immigrant and refugee communities
- Experience developing curriculum for social emotional learning
- Program coordination experience preferred
