Ethos Wellness - Westlake is seeking a Counselor/Therapist to lead our Intensive Outpatient Program (LPC-A, LMSW, LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
Job Description
Position Available in Austin, TX at Presence Wellness offices
Presence has a lead therapist opening for a new Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), which is a highly regarded program. The DBT IOP is an eight-week comprehensive treatment program designed for adolescents and adults who are experiencing considerable distress, anxiety, depression, interpersonal struggles and/or problems in coping and functioning. The program consists primarily of small group therapy supplemented with individual therapy and family or couples therapy. DBT is used as a foundation, which is overlaid with a variety of treatment modalities, psychoeducation, skills, experiential exercises and recovery concepts. Its end goal is to treat underlying core issues for long-term healing and maximize client’s learning and practice of invaluable life skills.
Interested applicants should upload a resume and a thoughtful cover letter. Resumes should reflect your full clinical training, work, and educational background. Cover letters should be concise, covering applicant’s clinical orientation, their interest and experience in counseling, and should give an overall sense of who the applicant is and how they will show up as an employee and as a therapist.
We really do read your letters -- sometimes the cover letter matters more than the resume!
