Position available for bookkeeper/ office assistant
Our office focuses on administration of trusts, estates, conservatorships and case management of a wide spectrum of clientele. We are seeking an Office Assistant who is dependable, ethical, professional, punctual, detail oriented, organized and resourceful. Our ideal candidate must also be an excellent communicator, have good time-management skills and an appreciation for ongoing professional learning. Morning availability is required starting no later than 9:00 am. Candidate is expected to commit min of 20 hours per week. Wage depending on knowledge and experience.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bank account and financial statement posting, categorization, and reconciliations
- Sort mail, filing, copying, scanning
- Respond to client and outside professionals as needed on individual case work
- Other duties and special projects as assigned
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Sensitivity to confidential Firm and Client matters is mandatory
- Must have modern office proficiency and use of desktop software such as Excel/Word
- Strong verbal and written communication skills required
- Excellent research skills and attention to detail
- Adaptability to changing priorities and ability to work independently
- Working knowledge of basic accounting, bookkeeping and/or legal support experience a plus
PREFERRED BUT NOT REQUIRED:
- Knowledge of the Fiduciary Field, Trust & Probate
- Basic knowledge or experience working with Eldercare
- Basic knowledge or experience working with Special Needs
