EthosEnergy is currently seeking a Maintenance Planner for our Dallas, TX location. The Maintenance Planner will provide maintenance support for timely completion of scheduled preventative maintenance activities at a combined cycle power station, ensuring proper use and maintenance of the CMMS as applied to maintenance activities
Job Responsibilities
- Ensure safety is number one priority in the process of planning and executing any and all maintenance activities at the plant.
- Responsibilities include planning and scheduling all maintenance activities and preparing materials requests for parts and to complete such activities.
- Must be willing to actively participate in a team environment to effectively support a multi-skilled work force in the operation and maintenance of a combined cycle power station.
- Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner will work closely with the Plant Engineers and the Chemical Engineer to coordinate and administer all activities associated with the maintenance of all equipment installed at the plant.
- Carry out delegated responsibilities as outlined by the Maintenance Manager to include planning, direction, and closure of maintenance tasks as they relate to preventative, corrective, emergency, major maintenance, and safety maintenance work orders.
- Reviews production schedule and work orders, establishes priorities, develops and implements planned maintenance schedules according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability of workers, parts, materials and equipment.
- The Maintenance Planner will support, maintain and improve the maintenance management and support systems at the station including preventative and predictive maintenance program development and implementation.
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of various contractors to ensure cost is controlled and the quality of the work meets stated standards.
- Assist and make recommendations to the Maintenance Manger that will ensure the purchases, plant budgeting and equipment modifications.
- Perform any activities as directed by the Maintenance Manager that will ensure the maintenance program for the entire plant is carried out in a professional manner that ensures adherence to prudent industry practices and OEM requirements.
- Special projects as assigned
Required Skills / Knowledge
- Mechanical, instrumentation and electrical equipment knowledge is required.
- Demonstrates knowledge of all facets of power plant operations.
- Demonstrates the ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations.
- Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of GE 7FA and GE D11 Turbine/Generators.
- Knowledge of ZLD plant equipment.
- Knowledge of electrical support systems for a combined cycle power plant.
- Strong skills in the use and application of CMMS in combined cycle power plants is required, Maximo preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a power plant or industrial process facility is required. Experience in the operation and maintenance of combine cycle independent power plants (IPPS) and/or merchant plants is desired.
- Prior training and experience in the planning/scheduling of maintenance activity is preferred.
Education Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Associates Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to do walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping and lifting (up to 75 pounds), at times under extreme weather conditions.
- Irregular hours and some overtime will be required as circumstances warrant.
