We are seeking a Maintenance Coordinator to join our team at R.W. Miller Power Plant located in Palo Pinto Texas. This role will provide maintenance support for timely completion of scheduled preventative maintenance activities, ensuring proper use and maintenance of the CMMS, as applied to maintenance activities. The position will also help coordinate any unplanned maintenance activities. Additional responsibilities include coordination of job/project work plans that include RFP’s/RFQ’s, Job Plans, Budgetary Estimates, Contractor Qualifications and QA/QC for all planned outages. Qualified candidates must have mechanical, instrumentation and electrical equipment knowledge and previous work experience (10 Year Minimum) within an operational power plant setting.
Salary range for this position is approved between $110,000 - $130,000 based on education and experience.

- Ensure safety is the number one priority in the process of planning and executing any and all maintenance activities at the plant
- Preparation and publishing of planned maintenance outages, all weekly work schedules, and ensuring parts, materials, equipment and resources are available to support such activities
- Track outage and regular work schedule progress daily and report expected completion rates to Maintenance Manager
- Must be willing to actively participate in a team environment to effectively support a multi-skilled work force in the operation and maintenance of a combined cycle power station
- Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Planner will work closely with the ICE and Mechanical Shops, Plant Operations and Engineering support to coordinate and administer all activities associated with the maintenance of all equipment installed at the plant
- Carry out delegated responsibilities as outlined by the Maintenance Manager to include planning, direction, and closure of maintenance tasks as they relate to preventative, corrective, emergency, major maintenance, and safety maintenance work orders
- Review production schedule and work orders, priorities, planned maintenance schedules according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability of workers, parts, materials and equipment.
- Support, maintain and improve the maintenance management and support systems at the station including preventative and predictive maintenance program development and implementation
- Coordinate and supervise the activities of various contractors to ensure cost is controlled and the quality of the work meets stated standards
- Assist and make recommendations to the Maintenance Manger that will ensure the purchases, plant budgeting and equipment modifications
- Perform any activities as directed by the Maintenance Manager that will ensure the maintenance program for the entire plant is carried out in a professional manner that ensures adherence to prudent industry practices and OEM requirements
- Acts as Site Safety Representative and is expected to fulfill the corresponding duties as detailed in the facility safety procedures, as assigned by the Facility Manager, and as assigned by the corporate HSE department
- Special projects as assigned
- Mechanical, instrumentation and electrical equipment knowledge is required
- Demonstrates knowledge of all facets of power plant operations
- Ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of power plant production with both Operations and Maintenance
- Knowledge of electrical support systems for a combined cycle power plant
- Strong skills in the use and application of CMMS in a power plant is required, Maximo preferred
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a power plant or industrial process facility is required. Experience in the operation and maintenance of independent power plants (IPPS) and/or merchant plants is desired
- Prior training and experience in the planning/scheduling of maintenance activity is preferred
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school preferred
- Ability to do walking, reaching, climbing, and stooping and lifting (up to 75 pounds), at times under extreme weather conditions
