Direct Support Professional
(Special Needs Staff)
for Adult Day Program
and Independent Living Services
Experience with Behaviors Required
DAYS & HOURS:
Mondays - Thursdays
8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Sundays
9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
LOCATION:
North Hollywood (San Fernando Valley)

Experienced Direct Support Professional (behaviors experience required)
The Ideal Applicant...
You are a kind, patient person who enjoys physical activity (walking, basketball, etc.) You are happy to go with the flow and follow your client's lead. You are comfortable learning to communicate with someone who is non-verbal. You desire to build a foundation of trust with the person you support. This includes learning how they prefer to communicate, learning their interests and goals, and implementing their feedback with compassion.
Regarding qualifications, you have experience supporting individuals who have behavioral intervention plans. You have helped individuals to implement preventative and reactive strategies for self-regulation. Training and ongoing support provided. Staff must have a valid driver's license, clean DMV record, an insured vehicle and be comfortable driving 20 - 45 miles daily (mileage reimbursement provided). [Male applicants preferred.]

He enjoys physical activities and prefers to stay active throughout the day. He enjoys occasionally socializing with his peers, but he prefers to spend most of his time 1:1 with his staff.
One of his goals is to work on his social skills so he can engage with his peers and community with ease.
