Ette: The Wedding Tailor Modern, Fresh, and Fun: A New Approach to Tailoring
Ette is hiring a bridal fitter to join their growing team. Ette is new direction in wedding tailoring and custom design, offering wedding and formal gown tailoring, heirloom revamps, custom accessory designs, and wedding outfit styling in an luxurious-yet-friendly atmosphere. Our knowledgeable and highly skilled fitters and tailors and modern, vibrant, easy environment make the alterations process simple and enjoyable. We think of ourselves as part of each bride's squad - we are there to offer expertise in fit and styling while providing friendly advice and direction, all in a fun atmosphere.
Responsibilities include:
-Expertly pin bridal gowns to determine alterations needed
-Explain to clients recommended work and pricing based on Ette’s guidelines
-Recommending alterations, customization, undergarments, and other services and items necessary to ensure correct fit
-Fill out paperwork to communicate to seamstresses and shop manager work to be completed
-Schedule fittings with brides
-Steam gowns prior to fittings
-Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in dressing rooms
-Aid brides in styling gowns with available merchandise
-Receive gowns for cleaning and give brides their cleaned gowns when picking up
-Maintain warm and friendly attitude and manage clients expectations and experience
-Willingness to learn new fitting protocols and share your experiences with the Ette team
-Light cleaning as needed
-Quality checking gowns altered by other team members
-Answering the phone
-Greeting clients and their guests
Requirements:
-Must have experience fitting a variety of fine and delicate fabrics
-Must have basic sewing knowledge and experience (sewing not required, but you should understand garment construction)
-Willingness and ability to meet with clients and advise them on alterations required, as well as best options for ensuring style and fit
-Flexibility to work retail schedule, including evenings and weekends
-Fluency in English
-Basic computer skills
-Knowledge of fashion and/or wedding industries
-Be a team player willing to adjust to new situations while maintaining a positive attitude

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)

- wedding industry: 3 years (Required)
