We are looking for someone with a pleasant, outgoing personality and customer service is our number one priority. The typical schedule is Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm. You will be responsible for welcoming patients to the practice and treating all patients in a professional and courteous manner. As a front office personnel, this individual takes part in being the first and last impression and representation of the office with both face-to-face and telephone patient relations.
This position summary includes, but is not limited to:
checking in/checking out patients
reviewing/processing patient chart to verify necessary information and signatures
entering new patient information into computer
answering telephones in a courteous and professional manner
scheduling appointments
sending recalls
making appointment reminder calls
processing office faxes/patient correspondence in a timely manner
checking patient eligibility prior to patients’ appointments
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Three years’ experience in customer service with one year being in a medical practice setting.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Accurate data entry.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with high accuracy.
- Motivation to succeed.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Empathetic personality with concern and respect for patients’ needs.
- Composure under pressure and ability to remain calm in high stress/fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
