Position Summary
This is a full-time, 12 month position working Monday to Friday from 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm.
Under general supervision, responsible for general financial analysis and accounting functions. Provides technical support for district accounting operations : recording and approving journal entries, reconciling and reporting financial transactions, creating and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, and ensuring financial information is accurately recorded. Performs reconciliations of internal accounts and related duties as required. Provides training on district financial systems, policies, and procedures.

Working within the Accounting Team
- Prepare monthly outside billings for organizations.
- Prepare journal entries as requested.
- Review and reconcile all bank accounts monthly.
- Review and reconcile scholarship funds quarterly. Assist departments and schools with questions.
- Review and reconcile EEF Gift funds quarterly. Assist departments and schools with questions.
- Review and approve journal entries, ensure proper documentation and accuracy.
- Review and approve cash receipts & deposits, ensure proper documentation and accuracy.
- Review and approve account code creation and financial system keys as requested.
- Assist with preparation of accounting-related audit items.
- Contribute to the maintenance of accurately recorded transactions within the general ledger.
- Assist departments and staff with financial system procedures and policy questions.
- Assist Grants Team as requested by leadership with their essential functions.
Working within the Grants Team
Prepare grant financial reports as required. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of all grant reporting.Prepare grant budgets in partnership of staff / departments as required.Prepare basic forecasting for grant budgets as needed.Prepare journal entries as needed.Prepare annual indirect cost rate and corresponding journal entries as needed.Prepare auditing documentation related to payroll and non-payroll expenditures.Assist with SEFA and other State / Federal reporting as requested.Research potential grant issues, invoices, and billings as needed. Work with financial leadership to achieve positive outcomes or seek direction from leadership on how to proceed.Attend ODE grant presentations as needed.Coordinate with key personnel at all levels of the district to support proper and timely expenditures of grant funds in compliance with guidelines and budget deadlines.Assist in maintaining accurately recorded transactions within the general ledger.Assist departments and staff with grant-related questions.Assist Accounting Team as requested by leadership with their essential functions.Working within the Budget & Treasury Team
Prepare financial forecasts, analyzing and projecting revenues and expenditures.Prepare projections for State School Funds and prepare reports and monitoring for ODE.Prepare and assist in the annual budget development and staff trainings. Answer questions from staff regarding budgets and projections. Analyze budget proposals and provide feedback as requested.Prepare highly complex and politically sensitive financial analysis to support decision making, designing financial models, reviewing legal parameters, researching options, communicating with other agencies, and synthesizing information for decision makers, writing reports, and making presentations as requested.Prepare and manage costing models to support employee collective bargaining.Prepare operational requirements related to payroll and accounts payable. Create and transmit ACH, wires, and positive pay as needed.Prepare charter school payments.Prepare tuition alternative education per student.Prepare journal entries.Prepare Join Benefit Committee reports.Process debt service payment.Monitor district-wide financial issues and project potential impacts based on scenario building financial conditions.Monitor staffing projections and costing models for all staffing groups.Assist Financial Services administration of district charter school and alternative education contracts.Assist with cash flow analysis for district operations.Assist in management of position control.Assist with liquidity reporting.Assist with investment maturities.General Functions
