What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Maintenance Tech position at Eureka Multifamily Group, LP?
The Maintenance Technician’s role is to maintain the property, including but not limited to the property grounds and common areas in the best possible condition. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. They ensure that heating and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality, the installations HVAC and, the upkeep of the landscape.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol and plan and schedule repairs in a timely manner.
- Perform general maintenance including landscaping, painting, and carpentry, repair faulty equipment and conduct maintenance of electrical systems.
- Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety regulations and support the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary.
- Aid in budget development and ensure it is followed.
- Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
- Inspect alarm systems such as carbon dioxide and fire protection and quickly schedule repairs when needed.
- Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide.

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability focus. Additionally, the employee works in an outdoor environment and is exposed to adverse weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may be moderate to high.
