Job Description
Case Management Representatives provide clients with outstanding service by performing timely and accurate sample processing. Representatives are responsible for opening samples, comparing information, addressing concerns, solving problems, and entering client data correctly into the Laboratory Information System to ensure that every case is successfully completed. Case Management Representatives must have excellent data entry skills, be detail oriented, and organized. This role is multi-tasked and flexible and having the ability to prioritize work is essential.

Representatives are responsible for opening samples, comparing information, addressing concerns, solving problems, and entering client data correctly into the Laboratory Information System to ensure that every case is successfully completed. Case Management Representatives must have excellent data entry skills, be detail oriented, and organized. This role is multi-tasked and flexible and having the ability to prioritize work is essential.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Intake of packages received daily
- Verifies package integrity and chain of custody requirements
- Data Entry / Audit of all patient and contract information into the computer system
- Handling case assignments, review case progress, and determine case closure
- Identifies complete and partial cases
- Close and mailing of final reports, chain of custody, and affidavits
- Input partial billing information
- Coordinating and providing service that is timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and client-centered
- Meet weekly required production numbers
- Prepare Affidavits
- Notarization (limited)
- Attend and participate in staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned or become evident
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Minimum one (1) year previous data entry experience preferred
- High School diploma/GED required
- High degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Collaborate and work effectively with others
- Excellent data entry and organizational skills
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office and typing skills are required
- Good problem-solving skills and follow through are required
- Strong planning, organizational, time, and project management skills are required
- Knowledge of good record keeping requirements is a plus
- Self-motivated and the ability to work with minimal supervision; must also be able to work as part of a team.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and remain flexible to changing priorities
- Ability to demonstrate and uphold the highest levels of ethical behavior and confidentiality
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Communicating with others to exchange information.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
- Manual dexterity to handle, label, and file samples and paperwork.
- Standing, walking, stooping, and kneeling to accomplish tasks and transport samples from accessioning area to Laboratory.
Schedule
- Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm
