Job Description
Procurement Manager responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following :
- Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.
- Leverages outsourcing to drive compliance and customer service with internal and external stakeholders.
- Utilize and develop automation using various tools to constantly improve the ways of working, processes and policies
- Drive compliance and governance of the Procure to Pay process with all Eurofins entities.
- Day to day supervision of the purchasing department to ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- Management duties to include direct reports within United States as well as engaging in partnerships with other Eurofins businesses globally which may include dotted line reporting structure on some reports.
- Manage and lead procurement teams, ensuring seamless collaboration between teams. Provide direction, support, and training to team members to optimize performance and meet or exceed procurement goals.
- Develop KPI’s to measure performance across the teams and monitor team performances on a monthly basis or as agreed with the manager.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, to senior management with potential issues and improvement opportunities.
- Coach, train and develop employees. Identify skills gaps within the teams and provide ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance the capabilities the teams.
- Compliance and Documentation : Ensure all procurement operations comply with company policies, legal standards, and regulations. Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records for audit and compliance purposes.
- Work cross functionally with internal stakeholders to ensure service levels provided to Eurofins Business Units meet expectations. Develop and implement action plans where appropriate to improve satisfaction.
- Operate as an escalation point and customer service expert to meet business expectations.
- Training new associates on Eurofins NSC Purchasing processes
- Development and implementation of standard department operating procedures
- Supervise the order processing system to ensure timely creation and execution of purchase orders. Work with both onshore and offshore teams to resolve any discrepancies in orders, invoices, or payments.
- Handle any issues or disputes that arise during the Procure-to-pay cycle, including resolving P2P issues, delivery delays, and any cross-team operational challenges.
- Ensuring a good balance of work-load and driving operational efficiency across the teams
- Identify opportunities for added value at Eurofins and adjust work plans to drive these activities, in alignment with senior management.
- Supporting additional organizational reporting activities as requested by management.
