Job Description

Eurofins Agroscience Services is searching for Summer Interns to work in Easton, MD.
We are looking for individuals interested in laboratory research in Chemistry and/or Ecotoxicology including Aquatics, Avian, and Plants & Insects. Completes work for research and development under CGMP and/or GLP guidelines for studies, documentation, etc. This temporary intern position is designed to provide an environment to develop qualified individuals and to complete our demanding research goals. The successful candidate will be an essential participant in all aspects of trial work for which appropriate training will be provided. This internship program was developed as a feeder system for future Eurofins employees. This internship is a great opportunity to obtain experience for people interested in a career in Chemistry and/or Ecotoxicology.
- Full time position, $16/hour
- Up to 40 hours per week, overtime as needed
- Preferred employment dates: early May to late August/early September
- May analyze organic and inorganic compounds to determine chemical and physical properties.
- Performs analysis, first level, and peer review of data for accuracy and completeness.
- Conducts title/skill appropriate procedures with minimal supervision using laboratory equipment, computer resources, and institutional libraries.
- Training provided to conduct: Research compliant with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) requirements.
- Based on performance, return employment is possible
Qualifications
- Good collegiate academic standing with freshman – senior status.
- Ability to pay attention to details for long periods of time, good communication skills, organizational skills, and ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Background in Chemistry, Agronomy, Ecotoxicology or Biology is helpful, but not required.
- Experience with using MS Excel and MS Word.
- Required to frequently stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Assistance should be sought for a weight over amount employee is physically able to carry.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Additional Information
Position is temporary with full-time hours, Monday-Friday, with overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Easton, MD are encouraged to apply.
