Job Description
- Serve as information contact at receipt in an efficient and detailed manner with a high degree of quality
- Unpack sample packages and coolers received at the lab
- Interpret and register Medical Device samples into Laboratory Information Management System
- Label samples and select appropriate storage locations
- Place samples into storage
- Complete sample discard on a routine basis
- Prepare and ship samples for subcontracting as needed
- Take daily paperwork to Pharmaceutical Sample Administration after registration and places in appropriate bin
- Read, understand, and carry out standard operating procedures, following all safety precautions and procedures
- Handle incoming informational calls and emails regarding expected samples
- Maintain client files, including quotes, purchase orders, and incoming sample activity records, as available
- Interact with all levels of project managers and technical staff
Qualifications
The ideal candidate would possess:
- Self-motivation; excellent quality of work and attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and internal/external clients
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly and to move easily from task to task
- Ability to handle prioritization and multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to use a personal computer and learn necessary programs
- Good communication skills (oral and written)
- Organizational ability and good judgement
Basic Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree in physical or biological science or equivalent training preferred
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Additional Information
This position is full time, 2nd shift, Monday-Friday 2:00pm - 10:00pm with overtime as needed.
