We are searching for a motivated & experienced
Coordinates activities of workers engaged in receiving, storing, or distribution of ingredients, supplies or materials manually or by means of industrial equipment such as forklifts, jacks, or drexels by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Must follow all company policies.
- Must follow all GMP regulations.
- Must be active in all safety programs offered by the company.
- Directs the activities of workers and reports any problems with trailers or equipment to maintenance personnel, Materials Foremen, Supervisors or Manager.
- Assigns deliveries, routes and estimates hour requirement for completion of job assignment.
- Enforces all safety regulations pertaining to drivers or equipment according to applicable laws.
- Coordinates activities with other department to ensure the flow of materials or supplies needed for production scheduling.
- Verifies and inspects all paperwork, receiving logs, pick slips and trailer maps for any discrepancies in weight, items, quantities or other unusual problems.
- Reports problems with leasing equipment, or trucks to the appropriate personnel.
- Initiates changes designed to improve control and efficiency of department, or work crew.
- Enforces safety regulations.
- Interprets job orders to workers, and assigns duties.
- In conjuncture with foremen, supervisors and manager establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Suggests changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of warehouse, department, or work crew.
- Investigates causes of damages to product, equipment or structures and shortages for freight or insurance charges.
- Performs activities of workers supervised when necessary.
- Responsibilities include evaluating and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work.
In addition to the essential duties and responsibilities listed above, all positions are also responsible for:
- Meeting company standards pertaining to quantity and quality of work performed on an ongoing basis, performing all work related tasks in a manner that is in compliance with all Company policies and procedures.
- Adhering to Company policies, procedures, and directives regarding standards of workplace behavior in completing job duties and assignments. Must follow all Company Safety policies, as well as all GMP regulations and all lock-out/tag-out requirements according to OSHA requirements.
- As an employee at Wenner Bakery, you must also be aware of issues associated with food safety and safe food handling practices that are relevant to your job. Formal training is not required, but in house Food Safety Training conducted by a qualified staff member is mandatory. You must know how to recognize, prevent and alleviate food safety hazards. This position requires good working knowledge of the SQF code.
