Job Summary

Bird Electric delivers grid solutions and operates in adjacent distributed infrastructure markets including renewables, electric vehicle (EV) charging, and connectivity. The Safety Professional III position is accountable for implementing and maintaining the Company's Safety Procedures. Performs medium to high complexity safety related tasks.
This position will be based out of Pecos, TX. Seeking experience with utility/overhead powerlines construction safety.
Key Responsibilities
4 years in a Utility (overhead power line) construction environment, 4 years construction safety professional experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Prefer One Or More Of Following
4 years in an electrical construction environment, 5 years safety experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

- Implements, administers and maintains project safety programs.
- Develops and conducts employee safety programs.
- Manages project security contracts, programs and policies.
- Performs record keeping / filing functions.
- Conducts incident and injury/illness investigations.
- Writes detailed reports.
- Completes all appropriate company safety program documents.
- Interfaces with clients and government officials.
- Manages construction contractor safety administration.
- Supports continuous improvement efforts and the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.

- Stand, Kneel, Bend, Stoop, Move, and Walk long distances in and around confined, cluttered places, and uneven areas.
