Evans & Dixon is currently seeking to add an Accounting Specialist to our expanding St. Louis office. As an Accounting Specialist, you will be responsible for: reviewing daily bank reconciliations, managing and monitoring daily transactions to ensure that all data aligns with our financial systems, utilize Sequel (SQL) reporting, and more! We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy individual to join our team. This position plays a critical role in ensuring that all transactions are accurately reflected in our system and serves as a key part of our internal controls. Successful candidates will have a durable work ethic, superior ability to multitask, and enjoy working in a fast pace and intellectually stimulating setting.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Bank Reconciliations: Review and monitor all bank transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled across multiple accounts.
- Special payroll calculations: Calculate performance-based payroll metrics using various systems.
- SQL Reporting: Utilize your SQL (or related database query systems) expertise to create and manage reports and data queries. If you're not familiar with SQL, we offer extensive training to get you up to speed!
Skills and Specifications:
- Strong technical skills and knowledge using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Previous experience with SQL (or similar reporting/query tools)
- Excellent written communication skills
- Knowledge or familiarity of accounting procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented environment
- Must be well organized with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to be self-sufficient in prioritizing tasks
- Ability to deal professionally and effectively with both clients and attorneys
- Ability to analyze routine accounting tasks
Education and Qualifications:
- Must have prior accounting experience in reconciling accounts
- Highschool Diploma/GED required
