Summary/Objective
The Assistant Schedule Manager is assists in preparing and maintaining construction schedules to optimize project planning and execution. This role involves coordinating with project teams to ensure effective time management, resource allocation, and progress tracking. The Assistant Schedule Manager works closely with schedule managers, project managers, engineers, and designers to create accurate timelines, update schedules, and mitigate delays. This role is a full-time on-site position at one of Evans' jobsites. Initial assignment is scheduled to be in Denver, Colorado or Muskogee, OK.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with all project stakeholders including field staff, and the client to ensure efficient and accurate schedule development and updates.
- Builder’s mindset and proficiency in Critical Path Methodology.
- Meet with Project Management, Owners, Field Teams & Subcontractors in development of baseline schedule, monthly updates and recovery schedules.
- Identify and communicate significant schedule risks.
- Develop Work Breakdown Structures and work with project staff to facilitate development of the project schedule.
- Evaluate the performance of the project by analyzing significant schedule variance.
- Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly documents including updates, critical path reports, near term schedules, narratives, etc.
- Utilize Primavera P6 and or MS Project scheduling software to update and document schedule performance.
- Monitor and status schedule progress.
- Analyze delivery impacts, time extensions, claims, etc.
- Interact with scheduling consultant in schedule reviews, claims analysis, etc.
- Participate in training for various stakeholders within and without the company.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Relevant bachelor's degree (preferred Construction Management, Engineering, etc.) or equivalent years of experience in Scheduling.
- 0-3 years of commercial construction scheduling experience.
- Primavera P6 & MS Project scheduling experience.
- Understanding of industry and construction field practices.
- Good organization and communication skills.
